Oren Barnoy graduated with a BFA from California Institute of the Arts in 2000. Between 2000-2004 he showed dance choreography at Joyce Soho, PS1 Moma, Dancenow, PS122, Galapagos, WAX, Potsdam Film School (Germany). In 2003-04 He assisted dance classes for kids ages 8-12 years old as part of the Movement Research Dance Makers in the Schools program.  In 2005 Oren was presented by Art Basel, Miami and also published a reggaeton album that year that was released on Koch Records. He began DJing electronic music and house music and was a featured DJ at the Ultra Music Festival in 2008 and 2009. 

Since 2009 Oren has been presented at several venues including La MaMa Experimental Theater, JACK, The Kitchen, Danspace and most recently at Roulette Intermedium. Barnoy was a Studio Series artist in residence at Dance Theater Workshop in 2011 and in 2012/2013 an Artist in residence at The Tribeca Performing Arts Center. in 2017 he was a LiftOff resident at New Dance Alliance. In 2019 Oren was a resident at Mount Tremper Arts where he worked on his most recent evening length show titled "Future Erasure" His work has been funded by Brooklyn Arts Council, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant, NYFA Emergency grant, Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance and Mertz Gilmore Foundation. He has had the honor to dance for Sarah Michelson, luciana achugar, Emmanuelle Huyn, Hadar Ahuvia, Ben Van Buren, DD Dorvillier, Heather Kravas, and the Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company.
